I'm in love, officially, with Logan Cross. This book is awesome. Its rating is actually closer to 5 stars, like 4-3/4. Our Silver is struggling to accept her new life as a Mage and to be a good learner. But, trouble just seems to find her no matter what. The benefactor wants her back and he will do whatever it takes to get her. Enter into the picture, Logan Cross. Logan is not a Mage, he is a Chitah. He is sent to kidnap Silver but things take a different path. Justus, Simon, Adam, and Knox are working to discover who the benefactor is and every step takes them closer. Silver's friend, Sunny, is back as well. I liked that the book dwelled on her for awhile, sort of a dual story line. This book is full of sweet moments and intense action and suspense. Logan is fantastic. He has some of the best lines. I love seeing how Silver is developing into this new life. Different from other Mage, she is clinging to some of her humanity. She confounds her fellow Mage when she willingly risks her life to save humans or other Breed that she doesn't even know. Silver is getting stronger and learning to trust, both in her own instincts and in those that care about her. And they, in turn are gaining respect for this new Mage. I can't wait to see where her adventures go next.
