have to say that this is one of my top favorite series. Dannika has done a brilliant job creating the world of the Mageri. Her characters are so captivating that you get emotionally connected with them. This was a nonstop read. Zoe was attacked on her way home from a night out with her friend. Left for dead, luck was on her side when Adam found her. With mysterious Adam by her side, Zoe struggles to recover from her attack and find out who attacked her. Not to mention, what has happened to her. Then Justus finds her…sigh. Justus is that male character you love to swoon over. He takes Zoe under his wing and becomes her Ghuardian, responsible for training her on how to be a Mage. Zoe will have to fight for her life, and have faith in her Ghuardian to survive her upcoming battle. Zoe is such a strong willed character that you cannot help but route for her. She is not your “woe is me” female, she kicks butt. Justus is a force to be reckoned with. He is strong but stubborn, and always looks out for Zoe’s best interest. You can’t help but love him. This is a great read; Dannika deserves major kudos for her work.
