Four Days is book four in the Seven series by Dannika Dark. This is Ivy and Lorenzo’s story.

We have gotten to know Ivy in the previous book and she is always the quiet, reserved member of the Weston Pack. But Ivy is really a tough, outspoken alpha female. She has so much wisdom for her young years. We get to know of her history and Ivy has not had an easy life. There are many dark secrets in her past, secrets she wished could have stayed hidden. But a man who was once her father’s second in command, Fox, has come back into her life. His presence is not a welcome thing, he is a danger to Ivy and to her family. Why has he come back into Ivy’s life after all this time? What does he want? “Don’t give your love to a man who would rather hold a sword in his hand than the heart of a woman.” We have also had the pleasure to meet Lorenzo Church in previous books. He is a pack master of a huge pack and always came off as a tough, hard as nails man who rules with an iron fist only. There is no love or compassion within his pack. Ivy intrigues him though. They share the same heritage but it is her spirit that calls to him.

“I don’t believe our paths will cross again. A smile stretched across his face. “They have crossed three times. If a fourth comes around, I might call it fate.” An accident brings Ivy to his door step so during the four days she stays with him, their relationship evolves and secrets are shared. Could it be possible that Ivy is the one that his grandmother foretold would enter and change his life? Could Ivy be his fated mate? We also meet a new character in this book, William. I loved him and hope that we get to know him better in future books. “Only trees are rooted in land, and there they stay. You should know this, great oak. But a man whose heart is rooted in family finds a home wherever his pack is, and he is truly the free man.” This book had so many surprises. There were so many intense scenes as the Weston Pack came together to defend themselves against Fox and his band of rogue wolves he was trying to form into his own pack. He even had a couple of panther shifters with him.

At the same time, though, I loved watching Ivy and Lorenzo find their way to each other. They both grew and changed so much in this book. “Other women bring out the wolf in me, but you, Ivy…you bring out the man.” There is one wonderful, surprising tie to Dannika’s Mageri series. That, for me, made the book. I loved that series so I love that the author tied the books in this way. If you haven’t read that series, it’s fine. But if you have, it just makes it so special having that bond between the books. I loved the very end of the book. Absolutely loved what she did. I suppose if you haven’t read the previous books in this series, you will still enjoy this book. But it would mean so much for if you started at the beginning so you can get to know the other characters since they are all present in each book. I have really enjoyed this series and can’t wait to continue with Three Hours which is due out in just a few days. Thank you to Dannika Dark for another great addition to this series.
