What an unexpected and unusual romance! I really enjoyed this story! Seeing this really bad cover, I expect the usual SF-abductors-romance, where the heroine is a little stupid, a little overwhelmed, a little too beautiful. But no, here she's a real life mother protecting her children with the side benefit of finding love with the alien. Said this way it may seem awful, but it is really good and I enjoyed it very much! Lisa is strong and highly intelligent. When she finds herself in a bad situation, she doesn't fall apart, but reacts in the best possible way! I appreciated Grim too. He's not just a caveman-like alian, but he's also intelligent and understands that Lisa is too and accepts her help! Really a nice book! I hope the author will write a sequel! I'll enjoy reading about all the other women and their search for happiness!
