4 Stars. Love this paranormal series!

There is a love interest (soul mate type) but the intimate scenes are alluded to and not descriptive. Difference between a male and female author. It has been toted as "Twilight for boys" which makes me laugh. Well, I loved Twilight, so I love this too. Good advice fellow readers!!!

Chris Gordon is an exorcist nonpareil. However, this gift does not endear God to Gordon. Conroe deftly weaves Chris's characterization and powers with the complexities of a romantic storyline (all of the beautiful people), the politics involved from his two bosses (the NYPD and the Almighty) and elder vampires, and of course, falling for the right/wrong woman.

The romance is rushed, but still I do like my love interests, so ok. Some of the power levels involved are a bit over the top, but that's part of the point in this first volume. Even if books 2-5 weren't already out, it would be clear that Conroe is setting up for a long story, though God Touched can be read by itself to a satisfactory conclusion.

Its a cute, fun read... reminds me a lot of the Dresden files, and for a palate cleanser after reading some really angsty stuff, it filled the bill.

Im picking up number 2..
