Moore to Lose is a sequel to Searching For Moore. Even though it was a sequel, the most part of the book is actually flashbacks from Mia's past. We get to see what she's been through since the moment she had left California, back in the 80s. After the events that led her back to New York, Mia's in a really messed up psychological situation. She's feeling a lot of different emotions, missing, hating and loving Shooner, after everything that happened back at California. She's restarting her life, being enlisted in a new university, making new friends and slowly crushing on a young 27 year old playboy professor, Tom Sheehan. But he wasn't the only guy that we see from Mia's 24 year old-apart from Shooner- past. We can see how she's handling everything, making right and wrong decisions throughout this long journey. We also meet Michael. A very decent guy who is ready to offer her everything. But sometimes we put obstacles in our destiny and sometimes destiny has other plans for us. That being said, Michael was my favorite guy from Mia's past and I don't think he deserved the ending that he got. When I realized that this book would focus mostly on Mia's past, it kind of felt like a bummer to me, especially after the events on the ending of the first book, I just wanted to see how their story would develop. And from the very little that the story moved forward I wasn't pleased. (view spoiler)[ Shooner was supposed to be moving earth and sea to get back with Mia in the first book and now he acted like a dick, like he didn't care enough. I didn't like Mia's act at the end of this book, but I don't blame her either. (hide spoiler)] I still loved this book. Even though there wasn't a big development and progress from the events of the first book, we got to see why didn't they meet each other after all these years. I think it's a really interesting, devastating, but also entertaining story and I would still recommend it to anyone! :)
