Well, well, well Lauren Lane. You won me over. I don’t know if it’s because I’m in that cheese-fest-mode or the fact that I can read your books so damn fast, but you gone and won me over. Emma is a strong independent woman that was crushed when the love of her life left her at the altar on their wedding day. Several years later and many many dates later, Alex comes back into her life only to stomp all over it. In the best way possible. I mean these two--SEXUAL TENSION MAN. All over the place. He’s a man who’s made a big mistake and we’ve all been there right dudes? So in a turn of convenient events (like every rom-com out there), he ends up being her neighbor/boss/former fiancee. I know what you’re thinking, oh jesus, that just calls for drama. It does ANNNNNND that’s exactly what I wanted. Fun turn of events, great growth and chemistry between the characters (even when they infuriated me to no end), and a cheesy ending. HONESTLY, I’M TOO HAPPY TO GIVE A CARE.
