4 "Picnic Loving" Stars!

Reaper’s Stand is book four in Joanna Wylde’s Reaper’s MC series. I have been a huge fan of this series right from the onset. This raw and gritty biker world that this author has created and thrust upon us is most definitely an intriguing one and I, for one, can’t seem to get enough. It simply keeps getting better and better. In this book we get to see the big bad Club President meet his match. Who will be the one to come out on top?

“I don’t know what bothered me more, his inherent scariness or the fact that his scariness sort of secretly turned me on.” ~London

Thirty-eight year old London Armstrong may know about the local MC club and their somewhat seedier way of life but she has never really had much to do with them outside of the few cleaning contracts they have hired her company for. As the owner of a small business, London’s Cleaning Service, London has a lot on her plate which includes caring for the eighteen year old daughter of a drug-addicted cousin, Jessica, who has a lot of emotional, physical and psychological issues. London has little time for herself and she is unable to devote much time to a dating life or any sort of pleasure that would come from having said active dating life. She lives a fairly predictable life and is always bailing out her young reckless cousin from her latest drama. London needs more trouble and instability in her life like she needs a hole to the head.

So why does she find herself desperately yearning for the Reaper’s enigmatic and rough-around-the-edges President?Forty-three year old Reese “Picnic” Hayes is all about his club and the brotherhood. Of course, he would have to be seeing as he is the Club President. Forced to raise his two daughters on his own after his wife passed away, Picnic has vowed to never take on another “old lady”. His heart is simply not into it so he keeps his relationships stress free. By that I mean he fucks them and chucks them. No attachments means that he will never have to go through the pain of losing his beloved partner again.

Picnic’s an asshole. He knows it. And, this man-whoring lothario would have it no other way. Although, lately, Picnic has taken notice of the sexy cleaning lady that has been hired on by the club. But he knows that London is not the type of woman that would let him get away with his usual tactics of the “fuck and chuck”. Nope. She is the type of woman you keep. Picnic needs to stay clear of her so why is his obsession with her tits only growing stronger?Despite that fact that London lives her life on the straight and narrow and Picnic is anything but, she can’t help but give into her wanton desires when it comes to the Club President. Picnic and London are from two vastly different worlds but the sparks sure do fly as their two worlds explosively collide and they both pursue the undeniable connection they feel when around one another. Both have feelings that grow deeper and deeper the longer they spend time with one another. London is drawn to the rough, gritty and unashamedly sexual MC President. She realizes Picnic is involved in some criminal activity but she can’t seem to turn off the primitive and base need she experiences every time she is around the scary man.

And, even though London is not someone that Picnic would usually pursue, he is unable to stop himself from taking what he wants when it comes to her. However, can Picnic stop his womanizing ways? When London’s young cousin gets caught up in some bad business, London finds herself more immersed in Picnic’s world than she could have ever imagined. But, can she turn to him for help or will she have to sacrifice it all for the sake of her only family?I loved the progression of London and Picnic’s relationship. They certainly did not jump too quickly into declarations of love. In fact, Picnic was quite the ass-hat to London. If it weren’t for his alpha-sexiness and his mad skills in the bedroom, I am certain she would have walked. *wink, wink* But, underneath his tough and gritty exterior is a man who is loyal and could be unbelievably caring and soft. He definitely showed London his tender heart melting my heart in the process. The road to a happy forever for Picnic and London was most definitely not an easy one. It was more like a turbulent flight with a whole bunch of ups and downs. When shit hits the fan, in a massively huge way, both London and Picnic make some serious mistakes. However, in the end it call came down to how much the pair had come to care about one another.Similar to the previous books in the series, the sexy factor was hot as fuck! Picnic ramps up the dirty talk to a whole new level. He knows what he wants and certainly knows how to go about getting it.

“I want to stick my cock into your pussy. Don't worry - I'll get you nice and ready first. Open you up with my fingers, make sure you're so wet and hot that when you wrap around me, it'll feel like I'm fucking a goddess because you're goddamn perfect, London. I can't wait to feel your cunt squeezing me.”

Let’s hear it for the more experienced, sure-to-hit-it-every-time, older man! Hooray! Damn, makes me want to get jiggy with it!All in all, Reaper’s Stand was another excellent addition to Joanna Wylde’s MC series that is definitely up there as one of my favorite biker series. I loved catching up with all the other Reaper men and their old ladies. More importantly, I loved watching the much beloved President get another chance at love. I will be anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. Whatever this author has in store for us I will be all over like a cheap hooker! ;)

“Now it was just London and me. Felt good.”
