5 STARS!!!
OMG!!! This is one of the best series I have ever read! Talk about Angst!!! If you havent found this author, or picked up this series... do it! You wont regret it. This is a spin-off of the "Up In The Air" (James & Bianca) by R.K. Lilley but this is about Tristen and Danika.... Yes, we find out what happened to her leg and why they are so strained around each other.
Lovely Trigger is actually the last book in the trilogy, so I will review all three books here.
The Reading Order is:
Book 1: Bad Things
Book 2: Rock Bottom
Book 3: Lovely Trigger
Oh, the pain... and then... the Hope and second chances. If you love second chance books, this is a must read. This series was a full circle love story.
I have been intrigued by Tristan and Danika's story since I met them in the Up in the Air trilogy. What could have happened to make two people, so clearly in love, become sooo estranged? Can they ever find their way back to each other?
Well all those questions were addressed in this trilogy, which took me on a roller coaster of the highs and lows of Tristan and Danika's heart wrenching, passionate story.
Its a story about addiction and the destruction it leaves in its wake. Tristan's journey to sobriety and Danika's journey to love and forgiveness.

"I'm Tristan. I am an alcoholic and a drug addict. I'm here because using cost me the love of my life."
*
"How can you still love her so much?..."
"Because that's how love works. It doesn't die, even when you don't feed it. That's just the way it is... Loving her has become a part of who I am."
"Love doesn't let you walk away clean. Love is messy... Love takes a fucking piece of you before it's done."
*
"Oh Sweetheart. You haven't been paying attention... I am the guy who has been in love with you for over six fucking years. I am the guy who has thought about you evdery day. I miss you every day. What happened -- what we lost together-- breaks my heart, but it doesn't change anything"

I don't want to go into too much detail about the plot, because you will do yourself a favor by having a blank palate and going into this blind. An in-depth detailed plot summary might lead you away, and EVERYONE should have the joy of reading their story. You will never regret it... you will never forget it.... It will change you.
